Bill’s all-purpose, five-tool, send-anything-but-spam address. If you just want to get in touch, or if you’re contacting Bill about debate, this is the address to use. When in doubt, pick this one.

batman@brewerfan.net

Bill’s baseball-specific account, used mostly for corresponding about the Brewers and Brewerfan.net. If you’re writing about the Daily Brew or another baseball-related topic, this is the preferred address.

A Note About Spam

In case you’re wondering, Bill has given up trying to prevent spammers from harvesting his addresses. It’s a futile struggle, and it only takes one crafty evil-doer to spread an address far and wide. Since both of the above accounts are already well-publicized, Bill relies on various filtering technologies to help cut down on the clutter. Sometimes these wonderful tools make mistakes, however, and he misses a message that really wasn’t spam. If you’ve sent him something and haven’t gotten a response after a week or two, feel free to re-send. If Bill is just busy and hasn’t gotten a chance to respond, he won’t be offended by your reminder.

Instant Messaging

Bill rarely uses instant messaging clients, but he does have an AIM account that he uses when necessary. If you want to chat, your best bet is to drop him an email with your IM name and request that he sign on. Sorry, but Bill has kicked the AIM habit and is still in recovery.
